Today was almost a wash because it rained ALL DAY LONG. Jack and I started the morning by walking around the Columbia Mall with Michelle, Emma and Charlie. We walked the circuit many times and then met up with Bridgette and Josephine at the play area.
On the way back to the car I found a great sale in JCPenney! Got me some new threads. Nothing too exciting just some exercise clothes and a cute top.
We spent the rest of the day around the house. We signed up for the summer reading program and I've decided I'm going to do the whole program (no cheating by substituting reading for another library activity). We've listened to 2 world music CDs and read a bunch of subject specific books so far.

CSA Day!
Today is the first day of our CSA. We drove out to Breezy Willow Farm to pick it up.
They have a little barn that they have the CSA pick up in. They also sell soaps, honey, jam and other yummy options! When you walk in they have this chalk board up so you know what to get. They have scales all around so you collect your own produce and weigh it yourself.

A craft and a splash
This morning I went to Joann fabrics and Jack NEEDED to have this fabric. So I got some fabric and a pillow and during his nap I made him this:
He's been carrying it around telling me all about the trucks ever since. Hilarious!
Then we went to Emily1's house for a pool party!
Some old friends were there! Ria, Jillian and Amedeo
Andreas
and Colin (with Amedeo and Jillian)
The slide for the pool was a HUGE hit. The kids all seemed to want to climb the slide but they didn't want to come down. We didn't have slide-fear it was more like king of the mountain. They all wanted to stay at the top! I'm so proud that Jack could climb to the top himself. I think the other kids did it too, but I didn't think he could because the ladder was steep and not like stairs. That will teach me to question his abilities!
Weeee!

Sometimes the line for the slide got a little long, but this is a good lesson for life. Lines are everywhere and they are unavoidable.

Ghost writter
Da-Da has taken up the task of acting as my ghost writer tonight. He is writing about my wonderful trip to the beach, Ma-Ma and Da-Da are lucky that I decided to take them along.
First I hung out on the brand new deck like a big boy while I ate crackers with cheese.

The next day we went to the beach to hang out. I loved the water, but Ma-Ma and Da-Da decided that blue (on my lips) wasn't my color after an hour of playing in the water.
After lunch Ma-Ma decided to go and do a little Yoga on the beach. (No pictures of that, oops!) Da-Da dug a big hole for me while I supervised. Later Da-Da thought it would be a good idea to bury me in the hole. It was so silly I couldn't help, but laugh at Da-Da.

Later after Ma-Ma came back from her Yoga I decided to look cool to impress the ladies. You never know when they might be checking me out!

The next day we head back to the beach. Da-Da and I decided take a walk together.

Then Ma-Ma and I played in the tidal flat.

Our last full day we decided to go out on the boat and the tube. I kept trying to get Grandpa and Ma-Ma to let me go faster, but Gi-Gi and Da-Da didn't think that was a good idea. But I had fun anyway!
My little man
He's such a man's man that when he falls down he doesn't seem to notice he just gets right back up.
Today he was standing on the seat of a tricycle and he fell off. He pratcically landed on his head. He didn't make a sound he just rolled over, stood up and went right back to playing with his friends. And by playing with his friends I mean this:
He pushed that stroller around for a good 15-20 minutes. I might have to get him one.

Picking Season
I support going green. Organic hand picked fruits and veggies are yummy and the season has started with strawberries! Yummy!
I also support child labor. Not the laws preventing it, but the labor itself- I'm all for that. Last year Jack really didn't pull his own weight. He did a heck of a lot of sitting while I picked fruits and veggies. Well now mwah ha ha... he can do some of the work.
