This will be awesome with Tiki Lights

I don't live in the country. There aren't acres of trees or amber waves of grain surrounding my charming 1900's farmhouse (covetous). But that won't stop me! Power tools- Check! Able-bodied, feminist, power tool wielding wife- Check! 3 flag holders (brass color) & 3 eyes (silver color)- Check! Napping baby- Check!Assembly under way.

With dowel rod in place. The top of each dowel has another smaller eye drilled into the top so I can string up the clothes line... or party lights!Ready to rock and roll! Freshly washed diapers reporting for drying! They look so happy in a row. Our little slice of suburbia- simplified.

In related news- I was walking by the veggie garden to take this picture and the onions are starting to come up! Squee!

Looks great! Good thing you don't live in Columbia-- I have a feeling clotheslines are not allowed!

Actually, that made me curious so I just checked our village's covenant. They're okay if behind the house, fewer than 15 feet away, and taken down when not in use. So nevermind! :-)

Those HOA's will get you every time! That's another reason ours was made to be removeable!

This is such a great idea! I would like something like this even though we could technically put one in our yard. I like having all the laundry handy right on the deck.

Thanks, Aimee! It was great to have it right there because checking to see how dry things were and how much more time was needed was very easy! It was only 70 today and everything dried so fast!

Love this idea! I wish we had a deck! We could probably pull it off in our backyard somehow, but we're so close to the highway I'm afraid clean diapers would just get dirty hanging outside...
