Important Toddler Terms

"Ha-Me" for about a week Jack said this and we couldn't figure out what it ment. Finally he came to me one day holding a toy that had come apart and said "Ha-Me" and "help me" was born.

"Mine" Jack's first 4-letter work. I know it's developmentally normal, I just can't help wishing he didn't have to go through this for-me about-me me-me-me phase.

"Ah Duh" all done.

"No" ::sigh::

"Towel" This one is funny because when he's ready to get in the bath if he would rather skip his bath he stands in the bathroom asking for his towel over and over again, as though we won't notice skipping the getting clean part. Hah!

So tell me, what are the most/least endearing words in your child's vocabulary?

Tah-wool! Tah-wool! TAH-WOOL! Is my favorite. The emphatic pointing and crying just makes me want to laugh more when he really wants to just go back to his car/truck book instead of bathing.

These kids make it hard not to laugh at them when they are mad/upset. It would help if they weren't so darned cute about it. Though I guess that is what keeps the parenting thing from being endlessly frustrating.

We just learned "mine" too. UGH.

I think the funniest word Jillian has is mole. Daddy has some moles on his neck and she likes to pick at them and now she points to them and says, "moooole". A close second for funny is boob.

Kids say the darndest things.

He was rocking away on the footrest of the glider in his room before bed
Daddy - "Aren't you a dare devil"
Jack - "De-wool!"
Mommy - "Way to go daddy!"
