I believe

I believe...

... you cannot sell a house through sheer force of will. (Believe me, I've tried.)

... there are enough good ways to raise children in the world that it's impossible to claim that there is only one 'right' way.

... when fall comes it should stay. It should not go away and be replaced by 90 degree oppressive heat and swarms of stink bugs, thankyouverymuch.

... experimenting with new foods and new recipes brings me a remarkable sense of joy.

... L.L. Bean and Eddie Bauer have some of the cutest clothes.

Re: the stinkbugs. I have come to a strange conclusion that I really should google right now to see if it's common knowledge. If you touch one in any way--even though a paper towel--in an attempt to transport it, your fingers will smell like CILANTRO! Has anyone else noticed this??!! Or does this mean I have a brain tumor or something crazy like that?

Okay, it seems like everyone knows stinkbugs = cilantro. But I'm still proud of coming up with the comparison myself! (I especially love that there's an Anti-Cilantro site where it's stated that cilantro smells like green stinkbugs!)

that's funny, EMK. Does google tell you how we eliminate the little b*stards? They apparently have no natural enemies, except the entire human race...

Wait a minute, the description I heard is that stinkbugs smell like sneakers!! Cilantro smells better than sneakers!! Anyway they smell if you get near them, squish them, or if they just die naturally--you can't win! Gigi

Aparently since they are from Asia, there is some Asian species of Wasp that likes eating their eggs and I think maybe them as well. Some smart guys at the state universities are studying if it is a good idea to release the wasps here to eat the stinkbugs (or if there are unintended consequences).

I say fast track the study!

wasps? I'm thinking NOT a good idea!

Ooohhh...Eddie Bauer! I can't wait to go "real" clothes shopping! And to weigh in (belatedly) on the stinkbug convo, I saw a bird snatch one right off our screen the other day! I was like - woohoo!!!
